Coronavirus: basic precautions, fact and fiction, home office preparations - The Red Cross and Telenor launch public awareness campaign

The Hungarian Red Cross is leveraging Telenor’s broad consumer reach to inform the public of basic precautions and help people tell fact from fiction. The mobile operator has published key information provided by the Hungarian Red Cross on its highly frequented website complemented with home office recommendations developed by Telenor experts.

Being Hungary’s largest humanitarian organization, the Hungarian Red Cross takes a leading role in the fight against COVID-19, that is, the new coronavirus. In addition to joining the global anti-pandemic efforts of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), it now focuses on raising public awareness of the importance of prevention. The staff of the humanitarian organization monitor the situation since the emergence of the virus and distribute the information published by the World Health Organization (WHO) and IFRC. This is where the mobile operator helps by making the information available on its highly frequented website and smartphone app. A banner posted on the main page telenor.hu and a notification posted in the MyTelenor app call visitors’ attention to the useful information available at http://telenor.hu/egyutt-a-koronavirus-ellen
